Introducing the very striking Frida, a 1 year young Great Pyrenees with all the beauty, and eyebrows, of the artist Frida Kahlo. Mind you, this Frida is well on her way to a much happier and healthier life than her namesake. She came to SPIN as a stray, underweight, with mats and burs but since her rescue and foster placement, she has been brushed into her glorious, shiny coat. She has a dusting of dark grey or black on her ears and the tips of her fur. She has an exotic look and is a real head turner. With continued good groceries, she is going to be even more gorgeous.
But don’t judge a book by its cover, this girl’s true beauty comes from within. Even though she was clearly neglected, she is trusting and took to her rescue humans right away. Frida is friendly, sweet and affectionate with adults and happily seeks affection from them. Children are unknown at this point.
Frida prefers slow introductions to other dogs but once she gets to know them, she loves to play. She is medium to high energy and might do well with a permanent playmate or as an only dog with promise of daily exercise, proper socialization and play. Foster Mom says, “She is a really cute and fun little dog.”
Frida was hurt before but she has put that behind her and looks straight forward to a future full of much deserved love. She waits patiently for the right person to come along and help make her colorful dreams a reality.
