Please meet the majestic Zeus, a 4 ½ year old Great Pyrenees who, due to unforeseeable circumstances, has left the only home he has known. But his beloved humans knew through SPIN he would have the best shot at finding the perfect family to love on him.
Zeus still has lots of energy and loves to run and play, chase balls and sticks. (Just don’t expect him to bring them back. He is a Great Pyrenees after all.) He is a busy one, and loves to go for walks to see what you can discover together. He is a wonderful guard dog, always on alert.
When it's time to relax, he is as mellow and gentle as can be. He is the definition of a giant teddy bear and loves to give sweet kisses. He is just so easy to love. Zeus spent most of his former life outdoors, so he is getting used to the wonders of indoor life, air conditioning, and couch snuggles.
He would do best in a quiet home where he has a furry girlfriend or senior companion. He does great with dogs of all sizes, and he’s even good with cats! Because of his sheer size, children in the home should be big enough that they aren't easily knocked down by a big bounding dog. Zeus has no desire to jump or climb a fence, so he is a rare Pyr that would be fine with a four foot fence. He is excited to find his new family so he can be their wonderful, loving pet forever more.
Spin Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere.
All SPIN dogs are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and on heartworm prevention. Please go to our website www.SpinRescue.org and fill out an application for this great Great Pyrenees!
