Say hi to Turnpike,  born approximately December 2013. He was in a shelter as a stray, with a cut on his right front pad, which they sutured and is healing well. He is a slim 77 lbs and probably will not get much larger.  He was in good shape otherwise, clean and free of fleas and heartworms.  Now that he’s been rescued he’s enjoying the good life. Turnpike is a very affectionate dog who obviously had a home but somehow got lost and had no chip or tags on his collar and no one to claim him. He is a striking dog, definitely mostly Pyrenees but possibly has some German shorthair, Golden Retriever, or lab mixed in. He has distinct brown freckles on his face and gorgeous golden eyes that are full of love and acceptance for anyone who treats him kindly. Turnpike is a mature, laid back boy who enjoys being petted and lying around watching his humans. He enjoys the company of the other dogs in his foster home. He is housebroken and walks well on a leash. He is very quiet and hasn’t shown to be a barker since he arrived in his temporary home. Foster mom says, “ He has exhibited no bad habits and is pretty much a perfect boy.”  Turnpike has paid his due in tolls to get to you. It is time for him to him to arrive at his final destination and find love in your home forever.

Spin Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.  Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere.
