We would like to introduce Princess, born approximately November 2012.  This is Princess, aptly named though she did not have a royal upbringing. Princess is a 3 year old gorgeous Pyr who has had a tough go of it, being unwanted and all. She comes to SPIN lightly heartworm positive for which she is being treated, slightly overweight and cautious when it comes to making new doggy friends. One might gather she was often left alone with a big bowl of food, no protection against the Texas mosquitoes and little opportunity for socialization. In other words, ignored. She is currently in the care of a loving foster family who finds her adorable and they are determined to help her find the right home.
Princess is a beauty with her curls and some caramel coloring in her white coat. She loves people and will gaze at you with her huge, kind and forgiving eyes the way only a Pyr can do. She loves long strolls with her person and Foster Mom says, “She is a dream on the leash. Nice soft leash, not one attempt to pull.” She is not crate trained but has impeccable house manners. Especially when they come equipped with lots of human attention. She is a snuggler and loves her pets. She is a wonderful traveler and hopes to get many car rides in her future. Being a part of your world is high on her priority list.
She is doing well with her furry foster siblings. She just needs slow introductions. She would rather be your one and only but would also do well as an addition in the hands of an astute dog handler who will be her true pack leader and she would prefer no cats.
Princess would like a home where she will have daily exercise to help her with her weight loss goal. Isn’t that true for most of us? She is a very alert and protective girl and will let you know when an unfamiliar sound is about though she is not a persistent barker as much as she is an announcer. Despite her hardships, she has a sweet heart and wants to feel secure, be loved and petted. Princess is ready to find her very own castle sweet castle where she will receive all the attention she has been lacking for so long.

Spin Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.  Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere. All SPIN dogs are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and on heartworm prevention.  Please go to our website www.SpinRescue.org and fill out an application for this great Great Pyrenees!  For the most current information and pictures, don't miss our Facebook Page https://www.facebook.com/SPINrescue
