This is Athena, a Great Pyrenees of approximately 7 years. This sweet very sweet, low-keyed girl is not asking for much at all. She just wants someone to be her friend and love on her. Upon her rescue she was discovered to have heartworms and tumors which needed to be removed. Perhaps this is why she was given up on and dropped off at a shelter not knowing what she did wrong. Now in the loving care of her foster home, she is working on getting rid of those dreaded heartworms and her tumors have been removed. Athena is a loving dog. Good with other dogs and cats. Already house and crate trained. She did not deserve to be deserted. While lots of folks are looking for energetic pups, Athena knows the right family will find her.
