Introducing Shelby, a beautiful Great Pyrenees/English creme mix, 2 years young with an old soul. This lovely dog was discovered in the woods where she sought protection from whom or what we do not know. She found a friend in a local police officer who brought food to her for months in those woods as he gradually earned her trust. With the help from the good folks of rescue, Shelby was coaxed out of hiding and placed in her foster home where she is lovingly called “Bunny”.
A home is truly where she belongs as she has easily worked into her new role as “house pet”. She has wonderful manners, is house broken, crate trained and walks well on a leash. She has made many friends in the dog world but would like to make it clear even though she has been around cats she prefers dogs to cats any day. She has been sweet and gentle with the children she has been introduced to. She would do well as an only dog or with another dog. Her favorite spot of all is right by you.
We don’t know how Shelby ended up in those scary woods but we know she is a survivor with luck on her side. Anyone would be so fortunate to have this girl adorn their home and complete their pack.
