Introducing Leo. This poor fellow was found on the side of the road with his dog friend who had been fatally hit by a car. It took some coaxing to get him to leave his pal. This still young Pyr, approximately 1 ½, had likely been on the streets for some time and must have been very confused. He is now thriving in his foster home where he is learning all sorts of new ways of life. He is very sweet and has fit right in with his fur siblings as they teach him the joys of toys and play. He will be happiest with a permanent playmate in his forever home.
Structure is new to Leo and a strong leader will help him go far. He truly is lovely to all but still needs guidance. He bonds quickly to his humans, children included. He has his Pyr independence but he has sure given love a chance and has discovered being close is comforting. If you allow he will even cuddle up with you on the couch. He loves meeting people in the neighborhood on his daily walks and has done well meeting the other dogs also out for exercise. He thinks going on car rides is pretty fantastic and enjoys going on trips with you for his next adventure to the pet store, home improvement store, or other errands.
Knowing what he has been through, it feels good to see him so relaxed whether sleeping soundly on the couch or exposing his belly for rubs. Leo will be a very loyal and loving companion for the family who brings him into their home.

Spin Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.  Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere.
All SPIN dogs are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and on heartworm prevention.  Please go to our website www.SpinRescue.org and fill out an application for this great Great Pyrenees!  For the most current information and pictures, don't miss our Facebook Page https://www.facebook.com/SPINrescue
