Pearl was an emaciated little girl that came to us from the Arlington shelter. She's a pocket Pyr, about 70-75 lbs at a healthy weight. Pearl was born in 2011 we think and has a lot of energy. She wasn't sure of herself coming into her foster home and tried to be alpha and bully other dogs. With a little training and reinforcement, she's quickly learning that's not appropriate. We're still working on her jumping up, and she's doing it less and less. She appears to be a really fast learner, and she now plays quite well with one of the dogs she used to bully. Pearl needs some patient training in house behavior - she may be housebroken, but like to check out the counters and if there is a cure for that, it is mostly keeping counters clear of food or other tasty thing. Nonetheless, Pearl is a really sweet girl who would like nothing more than to be your lap baby!
Spin Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere. All SPIN dogs are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and on heartworm prevention. Please go to our website www.SpinRescue.org and fill out an application for this great Great Pyrenees!
