Meet Arabella! She also answers to “Bella.” She is a “pocket Pyr” which means she’s on the small side for a Great Pyrenees. She’s healthy at 60 pounds. She was born around 01/01/2013.
Arabella's DNA profile showed that she is 50% Pyr, mixed with Rottweiler, American Eskimo, and German Shepherd!
This gorgeous girl is likely mixed with Border Collie, Golden Retriever, or terrier of some kind. Her beautiful, tan coat has a surprise of black undercoat along her back. Very unusual! And she has some of the biggest, most beautiful eyes you’ll ever see, heavily lined with black “eye-liner.”
She is really sweet with her humans, and she loves to give kisses! She is great with adults and older kids, but young children seem to make her a bit nervous.
This girl is very social. She loves going to new places and meeting new people and new dogs. She’s great on leash and will happily walk miles and miles with you. She sits nicely when you ask.
She was given up by her owners because they had to move to a small place with a tiny concrete courtyard and no grass. They were away at work as long as 10 hours, and Arabella was in the courtyard no playmate. They want to see her in a home with a big back yard and an active canine companion.
In her foster home, Arabella is getting along great with the big boy dogs who are helping her learn good manners. She is learning how to be in a dog pack and get along well with others.
Arabella was said to be good with cats in the past, but she doesn’t live with any now.
SPIN Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere. All SPIN dogs are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and on heartworm prevention. Please go to our website www.SpinRescue.org and fill out an application for this great Great Pyrenees!
