Dirk was born in December 2012 and has been a happy boy since day #1. Both his parents are purebred Pyrenees but were runts, so Dirk and his sister, Izzy, are on the smaller side, between 70-75lbs. Dirk loves to play and will lay on your lap if you let him. He loves to lie on a couch or chair if he is allowed, but obeys well when told he isn’t allowed. He is house trained and will you know when he needs to go outside by going to the door. He and his sister are escape artists, so he will need a secure fenced yard.  He is gentle and loving with kids and other animals, but likes to stand his ground with some male dogs. Dirk also loves being the protector of the home and will either sleep by the front door or at the top of the stairs so he can watch over the whole house. He is an excellent watchdog and will only bark to alert you of a threat. He would love to be with his sister, Izzy, if possible since they have been together since they were born. While he loves to be loved, he and his sister both do extremely well inside or outside for long periods of time when no one is home.

Spin Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.  Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere.
