About Jack

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • General Color: White
  • Declawed: No

Jack is an adult, possibly born in 2009 or earlier.  He is heartworm positive and very malnourished, so we are giving him some medication, lots of food and time before we have him neutered.  He will not be adopted until then, probably late in April 2013. Jack is a really sweet boy whose behavior makes it very obvious that he was mistreated and possibly abused in the past.  He is timid and submissive with other large male dogs, prefers to lie near the goats rather than being with the other dogs, though he does like a female pyr there.  He does a little digging but not a lot.  So far he has been afraid to go in the house.  We see Jack as an ideal dog for a farm, perhaps working with another dog that he trusts.  He will need an owner with patience, kindness and plenty of empathy for Jack's behavior traits.

Spin Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.  Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere.
All SPIN dogs are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and on heartworm prevention.  Please go to our website www.SpinRescue.org and fill out an application for this great Great Pyrenees!
