Please meet Queenie, born approximately June 2011, who has been waiting for a very long time for someone to take a chance on her. She was rescued nearly 3 years ago, yet is still being overlooked. She is such a beauty from the inside out, gentle and friendly. She adores people and seems particularly drawn to children. She doesn’t always know her own size and can love enthusiastically.  She has not been a big barker and responds moderately well to commands, though she may pick and choose which to obey as most Pyrs do. She likes a hearty rough and tumble with other dogs and would prefer a male companion whose size is comparable to hers, but she will do well as an only dog. She is capable of climbing some fences if she is desperate enough, so a no-climb fence might be best and does well with cats.
Do not overlook this sweet girl. She was meant to be someone’s loving companion. She is the kind of love bug who would love to warm up your bed for you and then get down and sleep next to the bed all night without ever disturbing you. Good things come to those who wait. And that, she has done. Whatever, or whomever, is around the corner must be very good indeed.
