Annabel Lee was born around April of 2010 and is a pretty, sweet, and gentle girl who wants to be an integral part of your family. She will enjoy your attention, but is not a clingy, needy dog. She's happy to sit at your feet, nap on a cool tile floor, or to be outside in the sunshine - pretty much wherever you are! Annabelle is loyal and protective of her humans, always ready to sound an alarm when she sees or hears something unusual. She's good with children, other dogs, and even cats. She is also good with livestock such as goats and chickens, although she is not a livestock guardian dog. Annabelle could fit in as the only dog in a family but she also enjoys the company of other dogs, though she tends to be an alpha female in a pack.  She does not like to be left alone and would prefer to be crated if you have to leave her for awhile.  She needs a good fence and a latch she cannot figure out (something she has a knack for)!  Edgar Allen Poe wrote a poem about her which includes "And this maiden she lived with no other thought Than to love and be loved by me...” 

Spin Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.  Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere.
