Like his brother Washington, Abe Lincoln was rescued around the time of his namesake's birthday. We think he was born perhaps in April or May of 2011. He is a happy, friendly youngster and has a lovely white coat. He is a little too friendly right now and we are teaching him it is not polite to jump up on a human no matter how much he loves them; and that humans do not like love bites on their hands and clothes as they walk by. These are totally puppy behaviors but Abe seems close to adult size so we expect he just needs to have it all explained gently to him. His house manners are good so far but we will continue to allow him time inside for training. He is fine with other dogs and is neither submissive or domineering; he takes his cues from the other dogs around him. He is not at all hesitant to walk into new places and meet strangers. He would be a wonderful addition to any family as well as a candidate for therapy work or a companion to a special needs person. Spin Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere. All SPIN dogs are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and on heartworm prevention. Please go to our website www.SpinRescue.org and fill out an application for this great Great Pyrenees!
