Phantom is a lively puppy with gorgeous gray eyes - hence the thought that he might have some other breed in his background - but everything else is totally Great Pyrenees. Well, except for his personality which is definitely more active that a typical pyr, even a pyr puppy. He is huge for a puppy that still has all his puppy teeth and seems close to being housebroken already. He learns very fast and already knows sit, maybe stay, and figured out the dog door after watching only one other dog go through it. There is absolutely no shyness here! As soon as a human comes within range he is in their lap, trying to climb up to their face so he can lick it all over, and if he finds he is separated from them by a gate or door, he voices his concern. He knows exactly how to get along with the big dogs he shares a yard with even when one of them displays a little bit of jealousy around dinner times.
He was born in mid-June 2011 and will probaby have all his vetting done by mid-November, but that does not mean you can't go ahead and get your application in now. Spin Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere. All SPIN dogs are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and on heartworm prevention. Please go to our website www.SpinRescue.org and fill out an application for this great Great Pyrenees!
