Kari is truly a wonderful dog, maybe near perfect? She came to us weighing a whole 65 lbs. You could not only see ribs, her spine and her hips but you could also see the spaces in between her ribs. She put on 5 lbs in her 1st week at her foster home. She had fleas, ticks, mange and was about 25-30 pounds underweight. Despite all that, she was always a lady - calm, affectionate and always willing to lay her head in your lap for a scratch. We estimate her date of birth around July of 2008. She is absolutely wonderful with all 3 young boys in her foster home - they are all under 5. After an introduction, she seems to get along with all the other dogs she's met. She ignores the cats even when they run. She rarely barks and crates wonderfully. After a bit of trial and error with her food, we have finally found one that makes her lick her bowl clean every time. Her fleas and ticks have been taken care of and she is currently being treated for her mange. She has regained some weight and is very pretty now and will be absolutely gorgeous when her coat grows out even more. She will be a great family dog and is an absolute joy to have in your home.
