Big Bear is a purebred Pyr born around 12/1/2009, and gets along very well with other animals, children and even strangers.  He has been neutered and is up to date on vaccinations and heartworm prevention.  He is active and has been found on kitchen counters - what a surprise that was - so he will require some good housekeeping skills.  Most of the time, however, he has that typical "laid back" affectionate pyr disposition (except when food is within his large reach) and would be a great companion in any household.  Think of him as a wonderful living rug in front of the couch, or pyr-afghan on the couch.  He is in a foster home in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, so potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere.  This dog is a courtesy cross-post and if you apply for him we will be happy to provide contact information for his foster mom.
