Shay is a beautiful girl, born in the fall of 2008 and still a young adult.  She is housebroken and friendly to humans and dogs that are willing to put up with a female who knows her own mind.  Yes, she is an alpha female but gets along just fine with most other dogs, does well in the house and has no shyness in meeting humans. She is an outstanding watchdog; she barks immediately upon going out to be sure any critters know she is IN THE AREA!  and continues to bark periodically through the night IF outside.  However she does quite well indoors at night, may want to share the bed, and will definitely let you know if (and only if) she hears suspicious activity.  She is in excellent health and needs the same kind of grooming as most long-haired dogs but has every prerequisite to be your best friend.  She seems to prefer to be indoors, likes to know her human family is around to take care of her and stays close to them.  She would not mind having another doggy friend.
