Faun came to us like a piece of trash - a stray - starving, naked, red and infected all over, and her baby had just died that morning.  The only thing in her favor was that she was heartworm negative, a true miracle.  After antibiotics, treatments for mange and several months to heal and reveal her personality, she has become a true treasure.  She leaps and dances and runs across the yard, and after three months she finally found her voice and took charge of the barking responsibilities.  Initially very shy, she meets strangers well now and can find ways to get along with the bossiest of dogs, but would rather not - she enjoys her new role as a gentle but protective "alpha" female now that a bossy female has gone to another home, and would probably like a home with some male dogs that will not intimidate her.  She also has decided that she deserves to sleep next to her human mommy on the bed and sleeps quietly all night until she decides it is time to get up.  She was probably born in 2008.  Her foster mommy loves her VERY much and will only allow her to be adopted by a very special family, so if you can convince her that you qualify, please fill out an application at our website www.SpinRescue.org.  SPIN dogs are nearly all in the DFW area of Texas, so if you do not live near here, you should think about planning a trip here so you can meet our beautiful adoptable dogs.
