Talk about a great big fluffy teddy bear!  Calvin was born around March of 2008.  He is housetrained, past the puppy "chew-everything" stage, and has good house manners.  He prefers to spend most of his time within easy reach of his human, is an absolute love-bug and when his ear is rubbed, he just collapses in joy.  He gets along perfectly well with other dogs, even a little hot potato female who challenges every new dog - he just laughs and walks away.  He weighs close to 100 lbs but is not as tall as may pyrs, just stocky and strong.  He can be lazy, but when offered an opportunity to come in or to play with another dog on a cool morning, he moves very very fast.  He attaches quickly to new owners, but also has been known to have separation anxiety if left alone before he is comfortable in a new home.  He is capable of opening gates or finding ways to get through fences if he gets too lonely so he is not the dog to just leave outside.  If you want a dog you can take along with you, that will love every stranger he meets while he is with you and can sit or lie by your side all the time you are home, Calvin is your man.  He is fine with cats now.
