Meet Mila! She is very sweet and lighthearted. Baby Mila was born around November 2024. She’ll likely weigh 85-90 when she reaches full adulthood at age 2.
She is an energetic and playful puppy, but also knows how to read the room and relax or play independently. But Mila will obviously play as much as she can.
At the very beginning, Mila is cautious with people. But after a few minutes she warms up and is loving. Then she loves to give “boops” where she’ll walk right up to you and press her nose against your face!
Ever affectionate and cuddly, she demands (in true Pyr fashion) to be petted – and she will paw at you until you do. And if you stop, you’ll get pawed again.
She is goofy and likes to “bounce” around when she gets excited. Mila has recently found an interest in chasing squirrels and gets very excited when she sees one on her walks.
Mila must have a large, playful doggy companion in her forever home. This dog will naturally become her mentor and help teach her proper doggy manners. She is shy with other dogs at first but will slowly warm up and want to play.
We think Mila secretly believes she’s a Golden Retriever, just like her two best friends in her foster home. She loves to rough house, wrestle, play chase, and tug-of-war with them until they tire themselves out. She has been around mostly big dogs, so we don’t know if she would play too hard with small dogs.
She loves toys! She buries her favorite one in the furniture or yard for protection and organizes all her toys in a pile.
Mila is house trained. She knows to go outside, and if you go with her and tell her to “go potty” she will. She has accidents occasionally when we forget to let her out in time. She’ll gain better bladder control as she gets through her puppy stage. We have not done any crate training with her.
She is leash trained. She gets really excited to go on “walkies.” The moment we bring out the leash she starts to jump with joy.
She loves going for a joy ride in the car with her two besties (the Goldens).
Mila is quiet for a Pyrenees. She doesn’t bark at things we can’t obviously see or hear. But she does bark at the mailman and anyone brave enough to come up to the door.
We haven’t seen her with cats, but can test her if needed.
She seems fine with children and allows them to approach and pet her.
She’ll probably do best in a house or bigger apartment where she has room to walk around and play.
This adorable pumpkin is going to be an amazing family companion.
OUR REQUIREMENTS FOR PUPPY ADOPTION:
1) PUPPIES WILL ONLY BE PLACED IN HOMES WITH YOUTHFUL, PLAYFUL, DOGS. This helps integrate the dog into your household easier by giving the pup a mentor.
2) In addition to the youthful playful dog, someone MUST also be home at least part of the day. Please do not apply for a puppy if you are gone 8-10 hours a day. It is not a good situation for you or the puppy.
3) You must have plans in place to socialize your puppy properly.
4) Our puppies are not livestock dogs. They must be family pets that are allowed inside the home.
Please watch this short video which demonstrates how puppies learn polite behavior from their adult dog mentors. https://youtu.be/R6N8STRl2aI0
