Meet Barry!  Born on August 31, 2024, this super-sweet, slow-moving Great Pyrenees mix loves food, his humans, and playing with his friends.

He’s quite the little baby at heart and is not as brave as his sisters - Barry and his sisters were found as strays at just 2.5 weeks old with their mom, Lizzy (who is also available for adoption).

Barry doesn’t take long to acclimate to new people and once he does, he is just the sweetest, most gentle goof! He seems to enjoy his naps possibly more than playing!

His last weight was about 65 pounds and his full-grown weight should be around 100 pounds.

He is potty trained and leash trained.

He hasn’t met any cats or kids yet, but his foster family thinks he would do well with both; he’s a bit of a scaredy cat sometimes is all.

OUR REQUIREMENTS FOR PUPPY ADOPTION:
    1) PUPPIES WILL ONLY BE PLACED IN HOMES WITH YOUTHFUL, PLAYFUL, DOGS. This helps integrate the dog into your household easier by giving the pup a mentor.
     2) In addition to the youthful playful dog, someone MUST also be home at least part of the day.  Please do not apply for a puppy if you are gone 8-10 hours a day. It is not a good situation for you or the puppy.
     3) You must have plans in place to socialize your puppy properly.
     4) Our puppies are not livestock dogs.  They must be family pets that are allowed inside the home.

Please watch this short video which demonstrates how puppies learn polite behavior from their adult dog mentors.  https://youtu.be/R6N8STRl2aI0

SPIN Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.  Adoption fees are $300 for dogs under 1 year old, $250 for dogs 1-7 years old, $200 for dogs over 7 years old. Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere. All SPIN dogs are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and on heartworm prevention. Please go to our website www.SpinRescue.org and fill out an application for this great Great Pyrenees!
