Lovely Carmen was born on June 1, 2005 and she is lovely to look at and sweet to have around. She was adopted on January 18, 2010.
Carmen is not a very active gal, in fact she does a very impressive impression of a 95 pound door stop or throw rug. She played a hero for her new mom, however, by preventing her from falling on a hot stove, so she has her own Pyrmanent home now! Lucky girl and lucky mom! Carmen gets along with everybody ~ dogs, big people, kid type people and cats. Check out her nappy buddy!!!
Our Carmen is heartworm positive though and because of an adverse reaction to the treatments we had to opt for another solution. She will have to be kept on Heartguard preventative tablets for the next 2 or 3 years and tested annually which isn't really much of an inconvenience because all dogs should be on heartworm preventative each month and tested annually. Bottom line is Carmen will be just fine with this regiment. Every dog who is adopted thru the SPIN program is up to date on all vaccinations, spayed or neutered, heartworm negative and on preventative. Please fill out an Adoption Application today.
