Born on April 25, 2008 our Pierre was found by animal control with the upper part of one of his rear legs badly broken in two places. It had been broken for a month or more at the time they found him, he had surgery to fix it and he is better than new but his one rear leg will never bend at the knee. Does this stop him from running and playing with the most active dogs - a big ole NO NOT EVER! But he doesn't jump and that on the positive side makes him a non-counter surfer and not one to challenge a fence.

Pierre is a velcro dog and love the company of his humans - in his foster home he patientily waits to eat his dinner until his human family can be near him for company.

He talks quite alot to his humans and once you know him you can tell by his voice what he needs "a simple hello" or "I need to go out" or "come and talk to me". He sleeps peacefully by their bed and walks on a leash wonderfully. He only plays with the toys he is given and has wonderful house manners for a pup so young (potty outside only).

But the most endearing thing about Pierre is his love of people. He loves meeting people, especially children, and tries to wrap himself around their legs while he licks their hands and literally wags his tail as hard as he can. He is going to be a very special addition to a very special and fortunate family.

His foster mommy calls him "Lucky Pierre".
