Say hello to a wonderful lady, an elegant woman from her beautiful, soulful eyes to the tip of her grand white plume (tail). Born on November 21, 2000 she is 7 years young - trots and prances and plays like a young'un and gives meaning to the words "young at heart".

And speaking of heart, Alex is very lovable and has a heart as big as all outdoors. She likes her pets and enjoys being around people and of course loves treats and belly rubs are a particular favorite.

She arrived at her foster nest in pretty sad shape but thanks to her foster mom's home-cookin' (roasted chicken, turkey and those wonderful satin balls) she is gaining much needed weight and currently tips the scales at 100 pounds but Miss Alex is a full-figured girl and has lots more room to grow. Sadly, her hearing has been seriously impaired by ear mite infestation and yeast infections which left her ear canals scarred and narrowed. She is not completely deaf but very close but this does not dampen her lust for life even one iota - she is a big ole total LOVE BALL.

Alexandra is fine with cats and children but she will need to be an only dog. She is going to make some very lucky family a wonderful new member. She brings with her the maturity and wisdom of age combined with her "young at heart" spirit - an unbeatable combination!!
