Maddie came into the world on 5/15/05 and although she is only 2 years old she has such old eyes - life has not been good to this sweet girl at least not until now. That is all changing for her and we are determined to put the puppy light back into those beautiful eyes and erase the sadness and age that lives in them now.

Maddie came to us with a dislocated hip that had been dislocated for so long and was so painful for her that she was actually losing muscle in her good leg because it hurt too much for her to get up. She has had surgery to repair it and part of her rehabilitation is daily morning walks and she LOVES her walks, just show her the leash and she is ready to go. She still has a bit of trouble getting to her feet on slick floors and needs a helping hand but once up she has no problems getting around. Maddie would love to have some carpet in her new forever home (hint, hint, hint) so she could get up unaided - and don't forget about her walks please.

Although we are certain she had never been an inside dog she has taken to it like a fish to water. Her house manners are impeccable and she really only wants to go outside twice a day for potty breaks - except for her beloved morning walks that is. And she is so smart, if she needs to go out or needs help getting up to move to another spot she will "talk" to you to let you know.

We have dealt with the healing of her physical needs and we have begun dealing with the healing of her soul with the love and attention she so craves. Maddie deserves a very special family, a family that she will become a loyal, loving and doted on part of. If your family has a heart big enough for this special lady she is waiting to meet you.
