This sweet young man's wandering genes got him shot and ultimately landed in the city "pound". He is recovering quite well from his gunshot wound and the whole experience seems to have somewhat lessened his interest in exploring the outside world. He is still somewhat underweight for a gentle giant of his size but some good groceries will handle that lickety-split.

He's an adorable and affectionate guy who loves attention. His idea of a "perfect date" is to lay outside with his favorite person on a nice day, plop his head on their chest and watch clouds drift by - now add a blanket and a picnic basket and you have a little slice of heaven here on earth. He is ok with car rides too but only if he can hang his head out and let the wind blow in his face - doggles anyone?

He's not a fence jumper or digger-outer but he will scoot out an open gate. He also likes to chase cars along the fence line here in his foster home. He gets along PLEASE - absolutely NO cats and he prefers to be an only dog. He walks well on a leash unless he sees another dog or cat and then he just might get a little spirited.

6/8/07 Our sweet Casanova was called home by the angels tonite. He joins all the others who have preceded him and will be forever young and hale and hearty. We will miss him.
