Winnie is six years young and happily enjoying life as a retired old lady.

Sometime before coming under the SPIN umbrella she had broken the knee of her left rear leg. It didn't heal properly and the doctors decided the best thing they could do for her was to amputate the leg, so Miss Winnie enters the elite group known as "tripods". She has a special "boot" that she wears on her back leg that helps her get traction on tile (and other slippery type) floors. She has more confidence now and a sparkle in her eyes as she walks from room to room. Winnie loves to walk and she's a high-stepper, I have trouble keeping up with her.

Nothing much is going to stand in the way of this lovely matron. Only thing she lacks is a retirement home of her own. Come on by and see if you can keep up with her, might just be love at first sight for both of you.

By the way, Winnie positively adores men. She will seek a lucky guy out in a room full of people and sit and gaze adoringly at him and Pyr-paw him for attention. Quite the flirt, our Winnie.

Winie's foster mom has decided she really can't live without her. So altho Winnie probably already knew this, its now official - she has been adopted.
