Born on March 6th 2006 cake, candle and party had day is just around the corner for this young man. The all important birthday #1 and on the top of his wish list is (drum roll please) you guessed it - a last name to go with Apollo and a home to hang his collar in.

He is delightfully energetic and making the transition from puppy to typical teenager. He is aways (and we do mean always) sweet and loving and loves to curl up in your lap for a nice nap. He does however, like all Pyrs and Pyr mixes, have somewhat selective hearing when he feels it's to his benefit.

He wants very much to please but he is young dog goofy and gets in the way of himself at times. He has these incredibly long legs that were made for running forever and Apollo would do just that except he is absolutely captivated by smells - he loves to sniff out everything.

He has a shy side to him when meeting new people and dogs but given some time and space to feel comfortable on his terms he warms up. Once he feels "at home" he will climb up in a lucky person's lap for some lovin' and then jump down for a good chase and wrestle with some lucky dogs.

He knows his basic commands, walks nicely on a leash and has a few special tricks all his own but you will have to meet him in person so he can show you those.

This is one pretty special young man looking for that special family to call his own. Could it be yours?

3/3/07 Get out the sunglasses and the sunscreen - Apollo has gone home. He boarded a plane in Houston and departed in Ft Lauderdale, Fla. Our little man is going to be a beach-doggy - kicking up sand and catching rays.
