Hi, my name is Maxi. I am a Katrina survivor and Ive spent the last 6 months living in a van. All this is behind me now, Ive been treated for heartworms and Im feeling much better. My foster mom says Im a beautiful boy. Im about a year old and I weigh 91 pounds! I get along well with dogs, I pretty much ignore cats and I am VERY good with kids. I walk to school everyday and I LOVE when kids come to give me a hug. Im very gentle and laid back. I walk very well on a leash, Im house trained, I sit for treats and Im very good in the car. Hey, I almost forgot, I understand English and French! My foster mom is very proud of me.
You can come and visit anytime you want. Maybe well stay together forever.
August 5, 2006 I searched for months To find another pet A friend for my adopted shepherd But hadnt found one yet. Along came the article About the Katrina Great Pyrs And my thoughts turned back To the one Id had for 12 years. I searched the site and Low and behold-beautiful pyrs So brave and So bold. It was love at first sight With the one called Maxi He was so big He looked like a taxi. Angel, my shepherd, and My friend and I Went to see him To give it a try. Nine pyrs were frolicking Wonders to behold So white and so regal With sad stories To be told. Maxi, I knew, was My kind of guy HE picked me out In the wink of an eye. He and Angel got along just fine So I knew this Big boy was About to be mine. As we talked to Jan I watched him sit and not play Looking like he Was judging the day. I dont belong here Is what he was saying So take me with you Im tired of waiting. So thats what I did And we were on our way With Angel and the Judge (Maxi) In the cargo bay. My tale ends now And Im happy to say My big boy and Angel Are here to stay. His foster family And SPIN are Who I thank For taking great care Of this 110 pound tank.
