Meet Zeke! He is a sweet, 2 yr old "miniature" Great Pyrenees mix we are fostering through the Fayetteville Arkansas Animal Shelter. He loves attention, not only from people but also from other animals. Zeke would probably do better in a home with another playmate or with someone who is home often. He would do well with a ?job,? which would include following you around or checking up on you every once in awhile.

Zeke likes to have someone to cuddle with and does not like sleeping alone at night. Even if he doesn?t get to sleep in the bed, he is content being in the same room with you or another dog. Zeke also loves playing with toys, and so far his favorite is the rope -- could you play tug-of-war with him?

One of my favorite things about Zeke is watching him walk around the house to find just the right spot to hide his bone (under pillows and blankets are his favorite spots). If he gets to take his bone outside, he will dig a hole and carefully place it in the hole?we aren?t sure how many of these ?treats? he has buried in the yard, but it is fun to watch. I think Zeke would do well outside or inside, but would need a yard to play in and sleep in during the day. He is a loving bundle of energy and needs to have a way to release it during the day. He doesn?t walk on a leash well (we are working on that), but he is an excellent running partner. Zeke will stay with you but not get in your way. Because of his smaller size, there is no concern for injury, and he can go longer than the average Pyr. I think Zeke would be a great pet for anyone with children 6 or older. He is very active and likes to have someone to play games with, but he sometimes gets too playful with younger children.

When you talk to Zeke, he listens attentively and has the biggest grin I have ever seen. He is such a sweet boy!
