Meet Jake. Jake is about a year old and has seen it all in his short life. Fortunately SPIN was contacted about him and he is now living the life of Riley with a cushy bed and plenty of company.

At 79#, Jake is still severely underweight but is working on packing on the pounds to get up to optimal size.

As with most Pyrs, Jake is incredibly forgiving. As his general condition improves, Jake's foster mom can see life regenerating in this lovely boy's eyes. He is starting to play and is learing the fine art of running on the hardwood floor and skidding to make the turn into the bedroom where he launches himself onto the bed. He has also been eyeing the remote controls, hoping one is left within his range. Pyrs seem to find them SO tasty!

Jake is a very mellow, relaxed dog who loves attention. He is being treated for a severe ear infection which is possibly long standing, and is a bit sensitive about being touched on his ears. We are hoping this will improve with time as his ear heals.
