Frosty is a gorgeous young Pyr who spent the first few months of her life with little or no human contact. Since coming to SPIN, Frosty has learned humans are okay ? they bring food, brush her pretty hair, and provide warm pats and a soft voice. Frosty has made significant progress in her socialization but still needs lots of patience to overcoming her fear of strangers.
Frosty needs a human companion who is dog savvy, who can gently continue with her basic obedience training and teach her life is good. Frosty loves to play with the other dogs, and would like a home with one other canine to romp with. Frosty observs her Foster Mom interact with the others, and is apparently taking notes on what sort of behavior is rewarded as she now sits in her Foster Mom?s lap for cuddling.
Frosty has an injury to her left front leg which will probably require surgery to repair. We are hoping to complete this soon so she can recover before moving to her new family. (Details available on request.) She also needs a tall fence as she has learned to climb over her current 26? fence ? which may be how she injured her leg.
Frosty?s foster mom describes her as ?so easy to love?. What an apt description of a very special girl! Foster Mom loved her so much she adopted Frosty. Another great dog in a great home.
Every dog who is adopted thru the SPIN program is up to date on all vaccinations, spayed or neutered, heartworm negative and on preventative. Please fill out an Adoption Application today.
