Venus is a three year old who has lived since puppyhood guarding her Pygmy goats. When her people decided to move to the city, she was surrendered to the humane society. They didn't realize her talents go far beyond goat guarding.

She is a beautiful girl, absolutely fit, with the body and grace of an athlete (82 lbs of muscle). She has the calm demeaner of one completely in charge of her environment, unflustered (she is good with all other dogs, cats and children). She is quiet, no need for barking around. She is happy to be outside watching, nothing escapes her vigilant eyes.

And Venus has the most soulful eyes. When you step into her line of vision, you are caught by the most penetrating gaze. She engages you completely, and doesn't let go. She stands tall by your side and watches you, wanting nothing more than a good scratch of her ears and your approval. She loves to come inside and rest her head on your knee for lots of loving. I guess her people didn't understand that she is just as talented at guarding a family as she was with the goats. If no goats come her way in the future, she will be a most lovable inside pet for the lucky people who recognize what a versatile and beautiful a girl she really is. After all Venus is the goddess of love, and she has a ton to give.

Venus went to the perfect family where she will be loved and adored as she deserves.
