Hi there, my name is Dixon. When I was first picked
up at the shelter, they told the person that picked me
up that I was a she, and they named me Dixie. When
they got me home to give me a bath they figured out
that I'm a he, so they decided that Dixon would work.
I'm a skinny boy right now, but I'm working on
building up some muscles and gaining weight. I can't
keep up with all the big guys around here right now,
but give me a little time and I'll catch up. If you
give me a chance, I know that I can be a great
companion for you.
Foster Note: Dixon is a nice pyr that loves
attention, but isn't pushy about getting it. He's
also got a very unique look to him with his
'muttonchops' sticking out from the side of his head.
He came to us absolutely covered with fleas, mats and
dirty. After a flea dip and a couple of baths, he's a
fine looking young boy.
With a little bit of time a
good diet, he'll fill out to be a good sized pyr and
will make a wonderful friend for whoever adopts him.
Every dog who is adopted thru the SPIN program is up to date on all vaccinations, spayed or neutered, heartworm negative and on preventative.
