Louise is a little (45 lb) one year old Heeler/Pyr mix we found running with her pal Thelma, two girls on a road trip. As you might imagine she is a little wary of people not having had anyone to trust in her life on the road. She is very cautious and choses her friends carefully, but once she makes up her mind she loves whole heartedly. You can tell by the way she talks, yes she has her own language, a series of quiet yips, coos, teeth clacking, yodles, and peeps. It is incredible. You can tell by her smile as she wags her whole body, she is just dying to meet the person who understands her language so she can really communicate.

Louise loves to have her head scratched and lays it in your lap gazing intently into your eyes with hers so full of stories and the wisdom of the world.

Louise is approximately 18 months old.

Louise, now Lucy, has been adopted by a goat named Sophie. We wish Lucy and Sophie and their wonderful, patient human family, many happy years together!

Every dog who is adopted thru the SPIN program is up to date on all vaccinations, spayed or neutered, heartworm negative and on preventative.
