Phoenix is a small snow white Pyr with double dew claws and adoring eyes. She is a mild mannered girl with a huge capacity for forgiveness and love.
Phoenix loves to be petted and brushed, and will follow you begging you to continue. She recently laid her paws on the front paws of another dog who was being groomed, asking to be brushed instead!
Phoenix is going to be a gorgeous blonde when her new hair grows out after her haircut.
Our lovely Phoenix has gone to a wonderful home! Note from new family: She is really coming into her own. She is thee sweetest little creature God ever made. Tonight my daughter was in the den reading to her and she just laid there with her head in my daughter's (Shannon) lap. We walk her everyday and she's doing much better on the leash. I think it was pretty unfamiliar to her up until now. And tonight Shannon and I noticed that she was walking much faster. I feed her only the best food and did some research and learned the more natural the better.. Tonight she had roasted, skinless, boneless chicken breast, broccoli and some baked potato, no butter. I also gave her some plain, nonfat yogurt to her her bones and teeth. I brush her everyday and actually got her to play a little with me last night in the den on the floor. She talked a little to me and she's always putting that ten pound paw on me like she can't get close enough. Right now she's down for the night on the floor in the den snoring away. We all really love her. Even her eyes are starting to look happier. My sister who lives in Buffalo was estatic when she heard the news about Annie and she put it perfectly. She said,
"To the world we rescued a dog, to Annie we rescued her world"
I hope one day she'll forget all about those horrible, abusive barbaric owners and her life prior to us. We're more then happy to make up for the last 5 years and assure all her coming years are happy, healthy and loving. I can't wait to see her at Christmas!
Every dog who is adopted thru the SPIN program is up to date on all vaccinations, spayed or neutered, heartworm negative and on preventative.
