Charley is a 4 yr old, full blooded Pyr with double dew claws and a snow white body. Charley and his companions are leash, crate and house trained. Charley also sits, downs, shakes, stays, and heels on command. He and his companions were turned in to a compassionate volunteer who then contacted SPIN for assistance. Charley has a wonderful gentle giant personality, very sweet and laid back even when it comes to his food. His foster mom reports she has found one thing he is reluctant to share - a peanut butter flavored rawhide bone. She can take it out of his mouth to give to the pup, however. Charley is about 30# underweight right now, but still shares his food bowl with the smaller pups. Charley and his companions will be vetted within a week, so watch this site for updates on these Gentle Giants. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Charley's foster mom reports he now has a spring in his step and a very active waggy tail! He is starting to gain weight (is currently 76#) and plays well. Charley enjoys having his hair brushed. He is now cat, kid and storm tested and passed all with flying colors. He does like to protect his property and is a bit vocal about it. Foster Mom says "any one who wants a big gentle boy should love having him. " Charley would make someone a perfect therapy dog! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Charley will have an incredible story to tell of living in an assisted living center for seniors, and providing a group of people unconditional love. His size works to his advantage as people who have problems bending or stooping don't have to reach far to pet his lovely coat. Charley will have LOTS of people to care for, he has a big job ahead of him!

Every dog who is adopted thru the SPIN program is up to date on all vaccinations, spayed or neutered, heartworm negative and on preventative.
