Jeannie is 1 yr old Pyrenees with classic double dew claws.
She was an owner surrender to a shelter because she was considered 'too active'. Her foster mom's
assessment is that she appears too active only when she is separated from people. She will
do whatever it takes to be with them. She is house trained. She is reluctant to walking on a
leash. Originally it was thought that Jeannie would be prefer to be an only dog as she
tends to show some insecurity around other dogs by acting aggressively towards them. Much to her
current foster mom's surprise and the rest of SPIN, she absolutely adores the foster mom's
small dogs who are terrors, I mean terriers. They are four dogs who range in 4 to 9 pounds. She
watches them adoringly and looks hurt when they bark at her and try to bite her. She never, never
gets aggressive back. She lays her head across the bed and watches them all the time. She sees
herself as their LGD (Livestock Guardian Dog). What a treasure and delight. She will be tried out soon
with children of all sizes, ages, etc to see if this extends to all species. Her heart is indeed
that of a Gentle Giant!
Jeannie has found her forever home!
