Ginger came from a local animal shelter as a stray. She was literally 40 minutes away from euthanasia due to space. Her foster mom drove through downtown Dallas traffic to pick her up just in time!

She is about 2 years old and has had several litters of puppies. She is the sweetest girl! She had obviously had weaned puppies a few weeks before ending up at the shelter and was suffering from severe malnutrition.

She has started gaining weight and has fit right into her foster home with the other dogs. Unfortunately, she tested positive for heartworms and is now undergoing treatment. She is tolerating it very well.

She has been the BEST furry foster mom to SPIN foster puppy Bill. She is teaching him not to bite and how to be a good puppy. It has been wonderful to watch! Bill crawls all over her and loves to sleep on her. And when Bill is in his crate - she is nearby watching him. He loves her so much! She has made fostering Bill so much easier!

Ginger has recently been spayed and will soon be available for adoption! We would be happy to arrange a meet once you become an approved adopter. You can also adopt Ginger and Bill together if you are looking to add double the love to your home.

SPIN Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.  Adoption fees are $300 for dogs under 1 year old, $250 for dogs 1-7 years old, $200 for dogs over 7 years old. Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere. All SPIN dogs are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and on heartworm prevention.
