Meet Virgil!  This young pup with an old soul was born around November 2023.  He sports a long, fluffy coat and a small frame.  We expect he will weigh up to 70 pounds as an adult.  He has filled out nicely after being under-weight when we rescued him from a local shelter.

Virgil is the absolute sweetest love bug!  He is very affectionate and loves to be scratched and pet and lean against his people.

He is a very good boy with cats.

He has an easy-going temperament, medium energy, and is sometimes goofy.

He loves to bark!  He enjoys warning strangers to stay away from his yard. Foster mom says he is the barkingest barker there ever was!

Virgil plays well with other dogs and reads their body language well.  He loves them all – big and small, male and female.  He would do best with a playful doggy companion in his forever home.

Virgil is full house trained.  He rides very well in a car.  He is leash trained, crate trained, and likes toys.  He enjoys baths!

Sweet Virgil will be an amazing companion for a loving family.

SPIN Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.  Adoption fees are $300 for dogs under 1 year old, $250 for dogs 1-7 years old, $200 for dogs over 7 years old. Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere. All SPIN dogs are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and on heartworm prevention.
