Meet Paulie!  He was around January 2023, and his weight will probably be around 90 pounds after he reaches full adulthood.

Paulie is a bundle of love and joy, proudly rocking his Great Pyrenees charm.  His heart is as big as his fluffy coat, and he is ready to shower you with all the sweetness and affection a family could want.

He loves to be petted and will walk right up to any stranger he sees, showing them his wagging tail and his head ready to be petted.  Paulie loves everybody and just wants to say hi to the world and be everyone’s friend. He is gentle with kids.

Paulie thrives on being close, relishing every moment of connection. Taking treats with the utmost gentleness is his signature move, and playful play bows are his way of saying, "Let's have some fun!"

He loves playing with the other big dogs in his foster home.  He enjoys going to dog parks to and run and play with as many dogs as he can.  He would do best in a home with a backyard and other dogs that will play with him.

He is house trained.  He is leash trained and loves going for long daily walks.  He hasn’t barked much in foster care, although this could change in a new home.

He is crate trained but is not a big fan of it, with lots of whining to remind you of that.

He is still getting used to riding in a car.  He jumps right in, but drools nervously.

SPIN Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Adoption fees are $300 for dogs under 1 year old, $250 for dogs 1-7 years old, $200 for dogs over 7 years old. Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere. All SPIN dogs are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and on heartworm prevention.
