Meet Rupert!  Born around August 2021, this gorgeous, happy boy is small for the breed and weighs a delicate, healthy 70 pounds.

Rupert is charming and popular.  He loves people and getting lots of loving attention.  He adorably comes right up to you and puts his head or chin on your lap to get affection.

Rupert still has the playful energy of a young Pyrenees.  He loves playing with other canines, and he gets along great with the other large dogs in his foster home.  He would do great in a home with other dogs that will play with him and keep him company.

He would do best in a home with a backyard where he can play when he’s not indoors cuddling with you.  If he is an only dog, he needs lots of human time and needs to join lots of family adventures.

Rupert is fully house trained.  He is leash trained and loves going on walks.  He is crate trained, although isn’t a huge fan of going into one unless there is food in there.  He loves chewing on Nylabones.

He knows sit and come, especially when treats are a possibility.  He does great in the car, and happily jumps up into the vehicle when it’s time to go for a ride.

At mealtime we feed him separately from the other dogs, because he is a very hungry boy and will try to take their food.

SPIN Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Adoption fees are $300 for dogs under 1 year old, $250 for dogs 1-7 years old, $200 for dogs over 7 years old. Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere. All SPIN dogs are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and on heartworm prevention.
