Meet Mikey! He is just the cutest 'pocket' Pyr, weighing 60 pounds. If ever you wanted a Great Pyrenees, and thought they might be too big, here’s your pint-sized guy! We estimate that he is 18-24 months old.
Little Mikey loves people. He is outgoing, social, and loves being petted. He likes playing with other dogs, and he would do best if he has a doggy companion in his forever home.
He likes toys well enough, but he also loves books! He is “the literary type,” so beware your library and magazines.
He is fully house trained and has no need for a crate. He is leash trained and rides like a champ in a car. He isn’t overly vocal, barking sometimes at critters when he’s in the yard.
Mikey is also very athletic - like a mountain goat! Mikey’s new family will need to be cautious about his surroundings. He easily launches over baby gates in the house. The yard’s fence must be wooden or long metal slats; chain link won’t work. The fence must be at least 6’ tall and be clear of anything nearby that he can use to climb then jump over it. He would be a great adventure buddy!
Mikey is going to be a wonderful, entertaining companion for his new forever family.
SPIN Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere. All SPIN dogs are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and on heartworm prevention. Please go to our website www.SpinRescue.org and fill out an application for this great Great Pyrenees!
