Meet Amelia!  This sweet girl is looking for love!  She went through the same shelter twice and was never reclaimed the second time.  So, we welcomed her to SPIN, and her new life has begun!

Amelia is a young 7-year-old girl who hasn’t met a stranger.  She's a dream!  She is very open to gentle petting; she just flops right over for anyone to pet her.  She isn't pushy, and her Pyr paw is pretty gentle as well.

She is great with kids.  She is not startled or bothered by normal kid noise in the house.  She thinks everyone she meets should love on her, or at least she hopes they do!  And she certainly deserves it!

She does like short romps in the yard with her foster canine sisters, but not for long.  She’ll come find her foster mom and snuggle with her if given the chance.

She walks well on a leash and rides well in the car, though she’d prefer to ride with you in the front.

Amelia is up-to-date on all vaccinations.  She is completing treatment for heartworms, so her new person will have to stay vigilant in her preventative regimen.

She waits patiently for her food, but will sometimes counter surf for additional snacks.

A little on the smaller side, 70 pounds should be her ideal weight.

If you’re looking for a devoted companion who will be happy by your side whatever you do, Amelia just might be your girl!
