Meet Coco! This bundle of love is eternally happy!
Born March 2021, Coco weighs 79 pounds and is on her way to a more optimal weight of 85-90. Some speculate that she is mixed with Golden Retriever or Afghan Hound, because she sports a long silky coat.
Upon rescue, this sweetie pie was immediately treated to air-conditioning, a spa day, and lots of tender loving care. In turn, she charmed her foster mom with big smiles, delicately crossed paws, and amazing manners.
Coco is a social girl who really likes meeting new people. She loves her humans and does not like to be left at home alone. She seems grateful that her foster mom works from home and interacts with her a lot.
Coco does well with kids, cats, and retirement home residents. Coco does not do the "Pyr paw" and she really enjoyed meeting the residents of a memory care unit. She also loves meeting kids and received a special invite to celebrate a six-year-old's birthday. Coco would really thrive with a forever family that will often take her out to interact with other people.
She gets along easily with other dogs and loves being in their company. She enjoys playing with the other big dogs in her foster home. She would do best if she has at least one large, playful doggy friend in her forever home.
Coco sleeps on the floor in her foster mom’s bedroom with two other dogs. Sometimes she prefers to sleep in the hall outside of the bedroom. She will wake up her foster mom if she needs to go potty, but most times she sleeps through the night.
She likes toys! She seems to enjoy plaything you give her, even if it’s just ice cubes. She cutely jumps up when she gets excited, so she might get a little too exuberant around babies or toddlers.
Coco will sit for treats and most times will come when she is called. She is leash trained. She does fine riding in a car, easily loading up then laying down. She is a very good girl at the groomer.
She is house trained. Possibly being new to indoor living, she still needs frequent opportunities to go outside to go potty. She is left free to roam the house with the two other dogs while her foster mom is gone for 4-6 hours.
She is not an excessive barker. She answers neighborhood dogs that are barking, and she alerts to someone is walking nearby.
Sweet Coco has blossomed into a confident and loving dog with good manners. She is going to be a wonderful mascot for her forever family.
