Meet Annie! She is a sweetheart! Born January 2022, we expect this Great Pyrenees/Anatolian Shepherd to weigh 80-90 pounds when she’s all grown up.
This affectionate girl loves being close to her humans and getting belly rubs. When she cuddles with you, she’ll lay her head on your leg and fall asleep. She sweetly greets you when you come home.
She’s a talker! She has several "sounds" you’ll hear when you talk to her and she answers back. She is very vocal and lets you know when it is dinnertime, too.
When not lounging with you in the house, she loves being outdoors sitting in the yard, listening and taking everything in.
Along with her easy-going side, she also has her active, energetic, silly, playful side. She's a lot of energy in a small package.
Annie is a fast runner and likes to play keep-away with other dogs. She would be a great running partner for her humans, too.
Baby Annie does great with the two large dogs in her foster home. She must have a large, playful doggy companion in her forever home. This buddy will help her continue growing into a wonderful, socially-adjusted family member. (If you don’t already have a dog buddy for her, adopt one from us!)
She is good with cats. She likes to play chase with them and has no intent to harm them.
Annie is mischievous and will make you laugh with her antics! She loves toys. She likes to make bubbles in her water dish, and she likes to play in all kinds of water. She loves to chase and eat June bugs, and she recently had her first encounter with a frog.
Annie is very intelligent and was quick to master potty training. She also picked up very quickly on a few commands and "sits" like a pro. She is working on her leash training and crate training.
She rides well in a car, but gets carsick sometimes.
When you bring Annie into your family, she will adore you as much as you adore her.
OUR REQUIREMENTS FOR PUPPY ADOPTION:
1) PUPPIES WILL ONLY BE PLACED IN HOMES WITH YOUTHFUL, PLAYFUL, DOGS. This helps integrate the dog into your household easier by giving the pup a mentor.
2) In addition to the youthful playful dog, someone MUST also be home at least part of the day. Please do not apply for a puppy if you are gone 8-10 hours a day. It is not a good situation for you or the puppy.
3) You must have plans in place to socialize your puppy properly.
4) Our puppies are not livestock dogs. They must be family pets that are allowed inside the home.
Please watch this short video which demonstrates how puppies learn polite behavior from their adult dog mentors. https://youtu.be/R6N8STRl2aI0
SPIN Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere. All SPIN dogs are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and on heartworm prevention. Please go to our website www.SpinRescue.org and fill out an application for this great Great Pyrenees!
