Meet Chloe!  This kind, gentle, loving Great Pyrenees mix would make a perfect therapy dog, library dog, or counselor dog.

Sweet Chloe loves people and loves getting petted and attention. Laying down with a loving person and good book is her idea of a great time. And she seems to have a natural ability to sense emotion and show love towards people in need.

Chloe was born in April 2021 and is small for a Great Pyrenees; she weighs 60 pounds and is expected to stay at or near this weight.  Chloe is all white except for a few cute freckles on her nose.

When Chloe was just a puppy she was hit by a car. Her owners were unable to provide medical care for her so she came to SPIN needing immediate medical attention. Due to the nature of her injuries, Chloe’s back right leg had to be amputated and surgery was performed on her left rear leg.

After a few months recuperating, she doesn’t let her missing leg slow her down. She prefers carpet but can walk on all types of flooring.  She can climb stairs, and she loves the dog park!  She sweetly makes the rounds making sure each and every person has had an opportunity to pet her.

Chloe is fully house trained and requires no special medication or care due to her physical condition.

Chloe currently lives in a foster home in the Dallas/Fort Worth area with teenagers, cats, and other big dogs. She gets along very well with everyone and even occasionally snuggles with a cat.  She has been around small dogs too and loves them.

She regularly goes to work with her foster mom at a vet clinic and welcomes all the people and pets inside. She loves being around the action, never barks, and eventually sleeps peacefully at the front desk. She would make a great vet clinic dog if she was able to go home with her family every night.

An ideal living situation for Chloe would be a family home with any sized backyard, people who love her, and a soft bed to sleep in each night. She prefers to be in the same room as people, but does well when left home alone and does not require crating.

Chloe would do well with another similar-sized playful dog in the household. We will consider placing her as an only dog if the family is committed to intentional social outings for her or a therapy job.

Chloe loves dog toys of all types, and especially hard bones filled with treats. She loves to be brushed and does very well for baths and grooming. The veterinarian doesn’t scare her and she feels right at home.

Chloe rides well in a car and is confident, happy and excited to try new things.

Chloe can’t wait to have a family to call her own with a comfy dog bed and all the snuggles and attention.

SPIN Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere. All SPIN dogs are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and on heartworm prevention. Please go to our website www.SpinRescue.org and fill out an application for this great Great Pyrenees!
