Betty Lou is a sweet girl that’s ready to find her forever family. She comes from Collin County, where she was on her own for a little while. The shelter estimated her birthdate as about January 2019, but her demeanor says she might be a bit younger. Betty is a bit underweight at 72 pounds.  She could probably handle about 80 pounds healthily.

Betty loves people and dogs and loves to play. She will wrestle with her foster Pyr siblings, then patrol the back yard when done. Her bark is deep and a wee intimidating, which can be a good thing for security. However, her sweetness comes out when you pet her!

Betty Lou is a literary creature, devouring magazines and books when she can! It’s strongly recommended that her future family keep such treasures out of her reach. Her preference in stuffed toys leans to those she can destroy, so heavy chew toys (rubber, Kong, etc) might be more suitable. She has not been cat tested, but she gets along well with the little dogs in her foster home (after checking them out after grooming).

Betty is what one could consider classic Pyrenees, with a blocky head, huge feet, and a big heart! She would make a great addition to a loving home. She’d prefer to have a doggy companion, but would probably be okay with humans that give her lots of attention and love.
