Introducing Thor. This “god of thunder” has a fitting name as he has a big personality and lots of spunk! He was born on October 25,2021 and is ready to find his forever family!

Thor came to SPIN with his litter of 7 at 5 weeks old due to his mom being too ill to care for him. Thor was a champ and adapted to his foster family quickly. He’s a happy, healthy boy looking for a family with another large playful dog to show him how to be the best dog.

At almost 4 months old Thor is a curious, loving and happy boy who loves people and other dogs. He absolutely loves being outside and will sit on the patio and survey “his yard” for hours. He also loves a nice soft bed to nap in with people and dogs nearby.

Thor is crate trained (although he will protest for a minute or two) and is working on potty training. He rides well in a car.  He loves playing with toys such as Kongs or teething toys. He loves to snuggle with a soft plush toy or blanket. He hasn’t had much practice on a leash but could learn quickly.

Thor is a confident dog that will go boldly into new situations.  He seems to be saying “I can do it all by myself”. However he has a sensitive side too and can get his feelings hurt when told “no”.   He is in a foster home with other dogs, cats and two older kids and is extremely playful and loving.  He gets along with everyone he encounters (humans and animals). Thor must have a large, playful canine companion in his forever home.  If you don’t already have a suitable companion for him, adopt one from us!  This buddy will be key to helping him continue growing into a wonderful, delightful family member.

Thor has a medium length fluffy all white Pyrenees coat. At 4 months old, he is 35 pounds and will likely be around 85 pounds or more full grown.

OUR REQUIREMENTS FOR PUPPY ADOPTION:
    1) PUPPIES WILL ONLY BE PLACED IN HOMES WITH YOUTHFUL, PLAYFUL, DOGS. This helps integrate the dog into your household easier by giving the pup a mentor.
     2) In addition to the youthful playful dog, someone MUST also be home at least part of the day.  Please do not apply for a puppy if you are gone 8-10 hours a day. It is not a good situation for you or the puppy.
     3) You must have plans in place to socialize your puppy properly.
     4) Our puppies are not livestock dogs.  They must be family pets that are allowed inside the home.

SPIN Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere.
